WORKSHOPS
Personalized professional development

CO-TEACHING PART 1
Building the Relationship
What important things do co-teachers need to know prior to stepping in front of students together? This workshop was created by a content teacher and an EL teacher who have over 20 combined years teaching in an EL co-taught elementary and secondary classroom. They have experienced hardships and successes while navigating collaborative teaching and have used this knowledge to create a workshop for new and veteran co-teachers. Participants will experience strategies to develop a positive co-teaching partnership, learn how to apply the co-teaching models for various classroom environments, and gain planning strategies to aid all students learning at high levels.

CO-TEACHING PART 2
Strengthening the Collaboration
You’ve been co-teaching together for a while… Now what? The Co-Teaching Workshop, Part 2 aims to provide co-teachers with the “next steps” in co-teaching. Participants will revisit ways establish a co-taught relationship that truly represents a shared curriculum. This workshop, developed by 2 ELL teachers and 1 content teacher with over 20 years combined experience at all levels, prepares teachers for the common roadblocks that arise between co-teaching pairs. Co-teachers will walk away with concrete steps for intentional reflection, effective communication, and thoughtful planning. Beyond this, co-teachers will also become equipped to rise above pitfalls and challenge each other to take their teaching to higher levels, where ALL students are bound to thrive.

MEANINGFUL DIFFERENTIATION
Making Content Accessible to All
As EL teachers, we know that we should differentiate, but do we always do it? Are we intentional about our differentiation? The Meaningful Differentiation workshop provides educators with specific steps to follow and resources to use when differentiating content materials for various EL levels. Participants will adapt several sample tasks, apply the process to a task from their curriculum, and leave ready to intentionally differentiate. Lead by an EL teacher and a content teacher, the presentation aims to make content accessible for all language levels through differentiation. The presentation will be co-taught and interactive—requiring participants to work in pairs, groups, and with the presenters as they differentiate materials.
